On November 28, 2024, the Corporate Client Relations Department of Dulaty University, in collaboration with the Department of "Textiles, Material Science, and Standardization," organized a meeting for students, master’s, and doctoral candidates of the educational programs 6B07222 – Innovative Leather Product Technologies and 6B07511 – Standardization and Quality Management in Industry with the leadership and staff of TarazKozhObuv LLP.
The meeting was attended by members of the Corporate Client Relations Department, faculty of the "Textiles, Material Science, and Standardization" department, including B. Abzalbekuly, A. Onlabekova, L. Yusupova, as well as students, master's, and doctoral candidates.

ROAD SHOW at Dulaty University
From November 28 to 30, 2024, M.Kh. Dulaty Taraz University hosted the large-scale ENACTUS KAZAKHSTAN Road Show Taraz 2024, bringing together students, entrepreneurs, educators, and school students interested in innovation and entrepreneurship. Organized in partnership with ENACTUS Kazakhstan, the event marked a significant step in developing the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem.
A lecture on "Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence"
The first guest lecture on "Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence" was organized with the participation of psychologists from the "Anağa Tağzym" center. Faculty members and students from the Department of Social Psychology attended the event.
The goal of the event was to encourage students to reflect on their future and consciously achieve their professional goals through self-confidence and self-respect.
Tatty Madiyarovna, a psychologist from the "Anağa Tağzym" center, spoke about personal development and the importance of accepting oneself and others in an open discussion. Various interactive games were held during the event, and speakers answered students' questions. Students actively engaged in feedback and shared their positive emotions.
They revealed the secrets of entrepreneurship
The "Enactus Dulaty" team from Dulaty University, along with a group of talented students, held a guest lecture on "Business Ideas: How to Start Your Own Business? Innovations and Trends in Entrepreneurship" in the Library and Information Center's coworking zone. Attendees included Bakytzhan Isakov, Director of the Regional Branch of the "Damu" Entrepreneurship Development Fund for Zhambyl Region, Aidar Abdykadyrov, Deputy Director for Economic Affairs of the "Atameken" Chamber of Entrepreneurs, and Beksultan Kosybay, a specialist from the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial-Innovative Development of the regional administration. The event was organized by the university’s corporate client relations department.
The winners of the Olympics were determined
The Department of Science and Commercialization, the Technical and IT Support Center, and the Sports Programming Federation of Dulaty University, in collaboration with the Department of Education of Zhambyl Region, held the "CPFED Zhambyl Olymp" regional programming Olympiad. Volunteers from the university’s "Enactus Dulaty" team assisted with the event.
The main goal of the Olympiad was to provide 9th-11th grade students from non-specialized secondary schools in Zhambyl Region with an opportunity to showcase their programming skills.
The Olympiad consisted of two phases: an online preliminary round held on March 24, and the final round on March 30 at Dulaty University.
DULATY HACKATHON - 2024
The main goal of the hackathon was to identify talented youth, encourage the development of their creative abilities, foster practical skills in presenting ideas and projects in the form of pitches, and expand opportunities for young people to interact with mentors and leading professionals in their fields.
The hackathon is a marathon for programmers, where aspiring students and graduate students from Dulatty University participate informally in solving IT challenges and prototyping their creative ideas. The condition for participating teams was to create an IT solution for a given task within a short period, specifically 24 hours.
Following the competition results, the **IT jastary** team took **1st place**, the **Hexagon** team won **2nd place**, and the **PICO PARK IST** team secured **3rd place**. The winners were awarded special diplomas, certificates, and cash prizes: **100,000 tenge** for 1st place, **60,000 tenge** for 2nd place, and **40,000 tenge** for 3rd place.
It is worth noting that the sponsors of the **DULATY HACKATHON-2024** were **Zhambyl Hub** – the regional branch of the Astana Hub Technopark, and **"VKUS – tasty sushi"**. The event was organized by the **Commercialization Department**, the **Corporate Client Department**, and the **Project Management and Digitalization Department**.
CHAMPIONSHIP WINNERS ANNOUNCED
The fourth selection round of the Kazakhstan Championship and the regional Championship were held at M. Kh. Dulati Taraz Regional University, organized by the "Sports Programming Federation" Public Association, in collaboration with schoolchildren, students, and the university’s faculty.
The organizers of the championship were the Sports Programming Federation and its regional offices. Special thanks to the Federation's main partner, Freedom Holding Corp., for their invaluable support. Competition "DULATY START-UP-2024: STUDENT ENERGY CHALLENGE"

The purpose of the competition is to support startups and develop innovative solutions for identifying the best projects in the field of new energy technologies, ecology, cost reduction, waste disposal, and recycling. It aims to promote startup culture among youth and foster the development of the best ideas in the industry.
Bekdaul Ipdildaev, Director of the Joint Stock Company "Bank CentrCredit" in Taraz, Kuanishbek Nurekeev, Chief Engineer of the Main Gas Pipeline Directorate at the Joint Stock Company "Intergas Central Asia" in Taraz, member of the board and Vice-Rector for Science and Digitalization, Seitjan Orynbaev, head of the Environmental Testing Laboratory of the Environmental Management of the Zhambyl region, Dzakhanger Nazarbekov, and Head of the Department of "Chemistry and Chemical Technology", Doctor of Chemical Sciences, leader of the winners of the "Kazenergy: Student Energy Challenge" 2023, Marjan Kalmakhanova.
Seitjan Orynbaev, Vice-Rector for Science and Digitalization, opened the competition with a congratulatory speech and emphasized the importance of the startup in the energy and ecology sectors. He noted that this is a competition of projects aimed at solving environmental and energy issues in the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He also mentioned that he hopes the prize fund will serve as the first investment in the development of participants' projects.
Eleven student teams aged 18 to 25 competed, testing their knowledge, skills, and experience while presenting their projects to the jury. A brief description of the project, its stages, processes, technology, results, etc., was presented to showcase the project. For project visualization, the teams prepared presentations, which included a concise description of the project.
EXPERTS SHARED THE SECRETS OF ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTIVITY
A meeting was held under the theme “Ecology and the Impact of Gas on the Environment. Issues of the Region’s Ecology and Gas Industry and Ways to Solve Them,” organized by the department of corporate client relations.
The meeting was attended by B. Rakhymberdiyev, the regional manager of the “Damu” Entrepreneurship Development Fund in Zhambyl Region, S. Konarbaev, head of the department at “Intergas Central Asia” JSC, Taraz Main Gas Pipelines Directorate, Zh. Nazarbekov, head of the testing laboratory at the Zhambyl Regional Ecology Department, and students of the "Enactus Dulaty" student entrepreneurship, startups, and innovation team.
Purpose of the meeting: The goal was to address environmental protection issues through the projects of the "Enactus Dulaty" student entrepreneurship, startups, and innovation team. The students worked on evaluating technological and economic efficiency, ensuring ecological safety in production, and planning and implementing environmental protection measures, keeping in mind green ecology standards.
A Memorial Plaque in Honor of the First Rector of the Zhambyl Hydromelioration Construction Institute R.Zh. Zholaev
On June 26, 2024, a reunion of the 1971 graduates of the Zhambyl Hydromelioration Construction Institute took place at Dulatty University.
The purpose of the meeting was to install a memorial plaque in honor of Rakhmet Zholaev, a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, a distinguished hydrotechnician of the Kazakh SSR, Doctor of Technical Sciences, and Professor.
The event was attended by the faculty members of the Zhambyl Hydromelioration Construction Institute, the rector's advisor M.N. Sennikov, the professor of the “Water Resources” department, Doctor of Technical Sciences G.E. Omarova, the director of the "Water Management and Ecological Coordination" Institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences and Associate Professor B.A. Alimbayev, Professor of the "Construction and Materials Production" department A.S. "MOBILE TECHNOPARK" MASTERCLASS MARATHON – THE FIRST EVENT IN THE FIELD OF DIGITALIZATION
On September 18, 2024, the M. Kh. Dulaty University of Taraz, in collaboration with the Corporate Client Relations Department and the "Kvantorium" Children’s Technopark of the Republic of Tatarstan, organized the "Mobile Technopark" masterclass marathon at the M. Ürkimbayev Youth Palace in Taraz, within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation.
The aim of the marathon was to engage students and high school students from Taraz in interactive masterclasses on modern technology topics, to foster further study and invention of technological innovations, and to introduce high-tech equipment aimed at preparing a new generation of highly skilled engineers. The event also focused on developing and testing innovative technologies and ideas, increasing the number of high school graduates wishing to continue their education in technical sciences, and raising awareness and interest in IT sciences through the promotion of the scientific and technical community's achievements.
GRADUATES MEETING
On October 4, 2024, a ceremonial meeting of the 1974 graduates in the field of "Accounting" from the Zhambul Institute of Light and Food Industry was held at Dulat University, organized by the Department for Corporate Clients and the "Finance and Accounting" department.
The event was attended by graduates of the "Accounting" program, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization Sholpan Esimova, Vice-Rector for Science and Digitalization Seidjan Orinbaev, Vice-Rector for Socio-Cultural Development Aslan Turlybek, faculty members from the "Economics and Law" faculty, and students.
The purpose of the event was to highlight the life journey and achievements of individuals who studied at the university and have gone on to succeed in various fields across the country, as well as to pass on their experiences and knowledge to the younger generation.
RECTOR WELCOMES DELEGATION FROM THE FRENCH REPUBLIC
The Chairman of the Board and Rector Mukhtar Bayzhumanov hosted the CEO of Total Energies and the faculty members of the Total Energy Sustainable Development School.
The purpose of the meeting was to develop mutually beneficial strategic cooperation and create opportunities for youth to gain experience and skills, facilitating their professional development through collaborative efforts.
THE MULTI-LOCATION HACKATHON “DECENTRATHON 2.0” TOOK PLACE
A national multi-location hackathon, "Decentrathon 2.0," with a prize pool of $50,000, took place at Dulat University.
The organizing committee of the event included Astana Hub, the regional Zhambyl Hub, the Blockchain Center Research Laboratory, Dulat University's Commercialization Department, and the Corporate Clients Department.
The goal of the competition was to provide young professionals in the IT sector with the necessary resources, knowledge, and support to develop innovative startups and entrepreneurial initiatives. The challenge for the participating teams was to propose new solutions to current problems and develop innovative product ideas within 48 hours.
