Ask a questionThe Center for Technical Support and IT Support (hereinafter referred to as СTSITS) is a structural unit of the university with a thirty-five-year history that implements information technologies in educational and administrative activities.
The purpose of the СTSITS activity is to implement information technologies in the production activities of the university, active participation in the realization of the Concept of Taraz Regional University named after M.Kh. Dulaty "Digital University", as well as:
- the creation of a unified information space of the university, the development and maintenance of the University's corporate network;
- maintenance, repair, installation of programs, preventive maintenance, modernization of computer equipment of all structural divisions of the university and computer classes;
- providing computer classes with maintenance personnel in order to preserve the material values of the class;
- providing technical and software support for the functioning of the automated information system "Platon";
- within the framework of the “Digital University” concept, work on the implementation of the “DEMEY” project;
- software and technical support of the ongoing project to implement an Electronic Document Management System;
- installation of various educational equipment: stationary multimedia halls, language laboratories, video, conference calls and acoustic systems;
- providing technical support for events held at the university, creating multimedia materials, digital textbooks for use in the educational process;
- setting up active network equipment, setting up VPN, Wi-Fi connection;
- design of new fiber-optic communication nodes;
- planning, development and installation of new data transmission nodes;
- ensuring information security and IT security of the university's corporate network;
- maintenance and routine maintenance on cable and wireless network equipment;
- implementation of planned preventive, repair and preventive work of computer and office equipment. Improvement of methods of technical maintenance of computer equipment;
- modernization of computer equipment of all levels;
- participation in works on acceptance, placement and commissioning of newly received computer equipment;

- Software Implementation and Maintenance Sector;
- Web Design and Networking Sector;
Goals and objectives of the sectors:
- installation, configuration, and further maintenance of servers to ensure the functionality of the university’s corporate network, as well as to provide access to the Internet;
- maintaining the university public folder "public" in working order for data exchange;
- assistance in carrying out work within the framework of the Concept "Digital University";
- search, study and installation of software for organizing the provision of educational services using information technology;
- study and implement forms and methods for protecting servers from unauthorized access at the operational and software level;
- development of the server base and server technologies to improve the quality and speed of data transfer;
- development, revision and maintenance of software products at the university;
- identification and study of new directions in the field of software;
- study of existing platforms for process automation and implementation at the university if the requirements;
- assistance in organizing activities and mechanisms to bring the databases of existing and implemented software products by the structural divisions of the university to compatibility.

Goals and objectives of the sectors:
- Routine repair and preventive maintenance of computer and office equipment as per instruction.
- Registration and analysis of defects with simple computer equipment, improvement of methods of servicing of computer equipment.
- Carrying out preventive measures for the timely elimination of computer equipment malfunctions in accordance with the schedule.
- Carrying out work to maintain the efficiency of the corporate network of the university. Installation and maintenance of network equipment to provide Wi-Fi connectivity in the University.
- Modernization of computer equipment of all levels.
- Participation in the reception, placement and commissioning of newly arrived computer equipment.
- Conduct an inventory of computer equipment and prepare for the decommissioning of obsolete equipment.
- Preparation of computer classes for the educational process, provision of working conditions for all computer classes of the university.
- Organization and control of the work of operators of computer classes.
