Karatau Mining and Technological College was opened on the basis of the Faculty of General Study Disciplines of M. Kh. Dulaty Taraz State University on August 1, 2016.

The mission is to train highly qualified, competitive specialists through the introduction of innovative training technologies in order to improve the quality of education and professional competencies, taking into account the labor market.

Vision: The College is an innovative educational institution with a flexible educational system, an open information environment and a modern infrastructure that functions in the interests of students, teachers, employees, staff, employers and other stakeholders.

• - Pedagogy of cooperation, mutual respect, partnership between teachers and students.

The College is guided in its activities by the regulatory and administrative documents of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Regulations of the College.

Nowadays, the college is provided with two educational and laboratory buildings, an indoor sports hall, an assembly hall for 250 seats, a library for 200 seats and a dining room for 50 seats, has a library with two reading rooms for 100 seats and a total book fund of more than 25 thousand copies of scientific, technical and educational literature, an information technology center with modern multimedia and interactive classes.

The college has got a pedagogical council, a methodological council and two cycle methodological commissions.

Teachers

1. In 2019, the training manuals of two teachers were published. These are: the textbook "Production of sulfuric acid" in the state language of the teacher of special disciplines K. Zhumanov published in the publishing house "Foliant", and the book "Fiction" of the teacher of cultural studies F. Zhumanov.Orazbekova was published in December 2019 in the publishing house "Til" in Almaty.
2. Zhumanov K. B. awarded the nomination "Innovator Sheber" at the regional competition of masters of industrial training "Master of his craft".

Students:

1. The Youth Resource Center of the Department of Internal Policy of the Talas district Akimat organized the district youth festival "Zhastar-Ulttyk birliginin uyytkysy"in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan in order to strengthen friendship between peoples and nations. The celebration event was attended by an active College students, in celebration of the International day of students with letters of thanks were awarded to students 2ХТӨ-20 Terbaik N., Aitjanova .., group 2ПҚАҚ-19 Rahmonberdi A., B. ABC For active participation in public work district.
2. The district forum "Sanaly urpak-zharkyn bolashak" was held, where the student of the group 2EKPK-19 "Year of the Volunteer" N. Barshagali was awarded a letter of thanks from the mayor for active participation.

5.
