The history of Taraz State University dates back to 1958. It was then that a branch of the KAZAKH CHEMICAL-TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE was opened in the regional center. This educational institution was created with the aim of training qualified personnel for such enterprises of the regional center as a sugar factory, a meat factory, a shoe factory.
