Foreign Scholars at Dulaty University: A Path to Innovation and International Projects

In 2024, Dulaty University received 10 grants to implement the program "Attracting Foreign Scholars and Experts from Leading Universities Worldwide to Teaching Activities in Higher and Postgraduate Education Institutions."

As part of this program, Dulaty University invited Professor Amun Amri and Professor Nur Islami from the University of Riau (Indonesia), as well as Professor Ruwayda Asikin Binti Abu Talip and Professor Hairul Azhar Bin Jumbrie from Petronas Technology University (Malaysia).

The foreign guests were welcomed by Sholpan Yessimova, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization, and a member of the Board of Dulaty University. During the meeting, the directions for conducting joint research were discussed.

Over the next month, the visiting professors will give lectures, organize roundtables, and hold seminars for students and faculty members of Dulaty University.

The involvement of foreign scholars significantly impacts the improvement of the university's strategic priorities, such as increasing participation in international scientific projects, developing new research, and strengthening international ties.

The program is aimed at enhancing the scientific and research potential of Dulaty University in the field of chemical engineering, including the following directions:

  • Environmental and water quality research, including membrane filters based on activated carbon;
  • Studying the issues of local leather manufacturing enterprises, including the analysis of strength and structural properties of leather;
  • Molecular research on plants, including PCR analysis of plant genomes;
  • Research on the origin of various types of wastewater, methods of their purification, and their effects on soil and plants;
  • Biochemical research of plants used in the food industry, with a focus on the quality of biochemical indicators during processing.

This project not only expands scientific horizons but also strengthens international cooperation, which in turn allows the university to reach new heights in scientific research and international rankings.
