Conducting outreach work, ensuring social rights, civil-patriotic and legal education of students and teaching staff at the Faculty of Oil, Gas and Mechanics, carrying out activities aimed at shaping the needs of students and teaching staff in knowledge and development, socially significant and personal qualities and communicative culture of the individual, carrying out among them activities for environmental, physical education and the formation of a health-preserving environment for a healthy lifestyle, organizing internships and employment of young professionals, labor and economic education, holding events aimed at developing intellectual culture, developing and supporting young talents, are carried out in accordance with the plan of socially educational work of the department.
The upbringing of a full-fledged personality, who understands and accepts his tasks, is able to adequately assess life and himself, his actions from the point of view of spiritual and moral norms, self-realization, the manifestation of his abilities, opportunities for self-development and improvement from a spiritual and moral point of view is the main goal of socially educational work.
The socially educational work of the faculty is carried out in the following areas:

Students actively participate in the youth organizations "Zhas Otan", "Student Parliament" "Alliance of Students of Kazakhstan" and youth clubs "Free Thought Square", "Zhaidarman", "LVS" "Zhasyl El", "STREET WORKOUT TarSU", "Zheti Kazyna ".
Faculty students Dinara Kazakbayeva and Maira Musakulova became winners of the Grand Prix of the competitions "Miss Spring" and "Miss Taraz", dedicated to the International Women's Day.
Faculty students work on “Zhasyl-el” program. Our biggest achievement and pride is the student construction team "Alga". In 2011, the student construction team "Alga" of the faculty (commander Kanat Zhylysbayev) was awarded in the category "Best Team" in the regional marathon relay race "Flourishing Village - Blossoming of Kazakhstan" in honor of the 20th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The best students take part in the seminar training "Ideas that change the world" "Kazakhstan way: mangilik el", which is held annually in Astana in the state institution "Library of the First President of the RK - Elbasy".
The faculty has successes not only in education and science, but also in sports. The faculty has been a champion in the annual Olympics “Densaulyk” for the last 7 years in a row. А. Raimbaev, L. Kharchuk, M. Ayazbay, and S. Myrzashev will be part of the university's veteran team. Students have successes in various fields of sport. In particular, the student of Mechanical Engineering A.Beskempir became the champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the wrestling Kazakhjudo, bronze medalist of the Winter Universiade.
