Competition for the annual award "The Best Researcher"

In accordance with Article 15 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Science" in order to encourage scientists, scientific workers of scientific organizations and organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education, who have contributed to the development of science and technology, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter - the Ministry) announces an annual competition for the annual prize "The Best Researcher".

In 2023, the Ministry awarded 50 prizes to the best scientists of the country. The size of 1 prize was 2000 MCI.

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted through the Ministry's information system https://scicontest2023.iac.kz in electronic format within 20 calendar days from the date of publication of the competition announcement.

The scientific achievements of the applicant for the Prize will be evaluated according to the following indicators:

      1) holding an academic degree recognized in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

      2) holding an academic title awarded by an authorized body;

      3) management of scientific projects and programs in the chosen scientific direction;

      4) availability and quality of scientific results in the chosen scientific direction (articles or reviews in peer-reviewed journals, domestic and foreign monographs, chapters in monographs, patents, etc.);

      5) availability of articles in prestigious international peer-reviewed journals in the chosen scientific field in co-authorship with leading foreign scientists;

      6) teaching one or more disciplines in the HEI for the last year;

      7) training of personnel who have been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or doctoral degree in their field of specialization;

      8) confirmed results of scientific and scientific-technical activity on introduction into production;

      9) public work aimed at improving the quality, performance and impact of scientific research.
